Stop by the taproom and kick of the weekend right with a cold brew and some live music! Teague Alexy?s music is deeply rooted in Americana after touring the country a few times with brother Ian in their foot-stomping band Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank. If you listen close to the swing of Teague?s voice, guitar and harmonica you can hear he has not completely forgotten his young days as a reggae and funk obsessed hip hop DJ. It is a toe-tapping backdrop for a profound American writer and storyteller.

Join us for a moonlight hike on the 12-acre, lakeside estate at Glensheen with Day Tripper of Duluth as your guide.

This event is BYOS (Bring Your Own Snowshoes)

Kicking off 2018's Wednesday night events, you will have the chance to explore parts of the Congdon estate not normally traversed by the public. Check out the wooded area next to Bent Brook, and explore the Lake Superior shoreline.

As the chief visionary for the North Shore Scenic Drive, Chester Congdon was big on the preservation of the North Shore's natural beauty. He embraced Northern Minnesota's landscape by incorporating his own personal hiking trails on Glensheen's estate. Plus, what we know today as Congdon Park, was given to the city by Chester with the promise that its cascading waterfalls and wilderness would remain wilderness as a park for the public.

Once you have hiked the snow-covered estate, head down to the lake to warm up next to a cozy bonfire.

Please bring your own snowshoes or a good pair of hiking boots! If there is not enough snow, we will still hike the estate via boots.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests will meet Day Tripper of Duluth outside the Ticket House at the bottom of Glensheen's parking lot.

RSVP is not required but encouraged. Please mark that you are 'going' to the Facebook event if you plan to attend. Moonlight Snowshoe at Glensheen will take place every Wednesday night in January.
