Join us for Date Night at the Winery! We are open late on Thursdays, so grab your date and come down to the winery for music from 6-8 p.m.


This week the music will be by Gordon Thorne and Friends. Gordon picked up a guitar 30 years ago and hasn?t put it down since. He spent years mining early American blues and jazz, blending them with his own style, and serves up what he calls, ?the modern sounds of yesterday ? today?. Known as the meanest fingerpicker in Northern Minnesota it is where he spends his time working, raising kids and playing a little guitar.

Teams of 2-3 people meet at 1:30 pm at West Branch in Finland, MN. $5.00 Registration. The Hunt will take you all over town with your teammates to take photos of the items on your list. Meet back at the Our Place at 4:00 pm to check in. CASH PRIZE OF $50.00 FOR THE WINNING TEAM. All are welcome, including kids. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

This music and entertainment extravaganza will showcase music, tap dancing, storytelling, poetry and our ever popular Radio Theater. Cedar Coffee Company will be selling gourmet coffee and treats before the show and at intermission. Free desserts and cider will be available as well. A bake sale featuring gourmet breads and homemade jams will be available for sale after the show. New this year we are opening the lobby at 2:00 p.m. for kids activities such as face painting, story time and the opportunity for kids and adults to record a legal ID for broadcast. THUG will open the show at 2:40 with a 20 minute performance, so come and get your seats early and enjoy ALL the fun!

Wilderness explorers and guides Dave and Amy Freeman share about the 366 days they spent in the Boundary Waters Wilderness in 2015-2016. They camped at approximately 120 different sites, explored 500 lakes, rivers and streams, and traveled more than 2,000 miles by canoe, foot, ski, snowshoe and dog team. The Freemans embarked on this expedition in support of the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters. The program will include a slide show of photos, readings from the book, more about their preparations and experiences, and time for questions. Program supported by the Two Harbors Friends of the Library.

We have teamed up with Trivia Mafia to bring you the greatest Tuesday night trivia on the North Shore! Starting January 23rd, we will be hosting Trivia Mafia from 6-8pm. It's completely free and you can win prizes (and beer)!

If you're new to the game, here are a couple of things you should know about Trivia Mafia:
• There’s no cost to play, it’s totally free!
• Our trivia events are designed for teams of 1-6 people so get together a crew of your brainiest friends and win some great prizes
• Trivia events last about an hour and a half
• Prizes, including food coupons, movie passes and more, will be awarded for the Top 3 teams and the halftime leader
• You will play 6 rounds of trivia, 2 are general knowledge and the other 4 are categories about a variety of topics from Movies to Geography to Historical Events. Examples include: Vikings Behaving Badly, Child Actors, Christmas Trees from Movies
