Kids of all ages can drop in to practice STEM skills, stretch their creativity, and have fun together with Legos! Program alternates each week between open building with regular and Duplo blocks from 4pm-5pm (fun for all ages) and constructing step-by-step architecture or robotics kits (geared toward ages 7 and up) from 4:30pm-5:30pm.

We have teamed up with Trivia Mafia to bring you the greatest Tuesday night trivia on the North Shore! Starting January 23rd, we will be hosting Trivia Mafia from 6-8pm. It's completely free and you can win prizes (and beer)!

If you're new to the game, here are a couple of things you should know about Trivia Mafia:
• There’s no cost to play, it’s totally free!
• Our trivia events are designed for teams of 1-6 people so get together a crew of your brainiest friends and win some great prizes
• Trivia events last about an hour and a half
• Prizes, including food coupons, movie passes and more, will be awarded for the Top 3 teams and the halftime leader
• You will play 6 rounds of trivia, 2 are general knowledge and the other 4 are categories about a variety of topics from Movies to Geography to Historical Events. Examples include: Vikings Behaving Badly, Child Actors, Christmas Trees from Movies
• Throughout the night you’ll be working on an image round on the back of your sheet

North Shore Poets and Writers meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:00-8:00 to read and critique original poetry and prose (fiction, non-fiction, memoir). The group is always open to new members, so if you're a writer, feel free to drop in with some of your own work. The group also provides other opportunities like Open Mic nights (performance events), working with Radio Staff to record our writings on the local radio station (KTWH), writing workshops, and other special events.

Glensheen is once again collaborating with our University of Minnesota friends at Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center to make wreaths!

All the materials are gathered from Boulder Lake, and proceeds will go to educational programming at the learning center. Come get in the festive mood with us and make a holiday wreath at Glensheen.

This event will take place in the mansion from 6:00-8:00 pm. Guests will enter in the front door of the mansion. You will have the opportunity to make a wreath for $20. Proceeds will go towards educational programming at Boulder Lake.

Payment (cash or check only, NO credit) will be accepted at the door the night of the event.


***This event is capped at the first 50 people. The event is first come, first served. There are no reservations or tickets.

A cash bar will be available with beer and wine for purchase.

Discover the history of Minnesota?s oldest, continuously operating lighthouse and learn what life may have been like for the first keeper?s family during the cold winter months. Decked out for the holiday season, the Keeper?s Quarters will be open to guided tours December 14th and 15th. Also a rare opportunity to see the original Fresnel Lens for the lighthouse. Tours depart the Depot Museum and are limited to 15 people.

Cost: $5 for members, $10 for non members.
